Barbara
Bolko spends a lot of time exploring ways to connect students
to the information they need in the academic environment.
Barbara joined Granite State College as the college librarian
in January 2006. She holds an M.S in Education from Southern
New Hampshire University and an M.L.I.S. from the University
of Rhode Island.
Barbara
and her husband Tom have three sons and five grandchildren.
Barbara is a partner in B&T WoodTurners, a small company
specializing in historical balusters and finials. You can
find Barb and Tom at area fairs demonstrating a replica
of an 18th century great wheel lathe built by Tom. She designed
and created the GSC ceremonial mace used at GSC graduation
ceremonies.
Barbara
began teaching business courses at Wells High School and
was on the faculty at McIntosh College for many years. Barbara
has great respect for the adult learner and a clear understanding
of the important role information plays in each student’s
educational experience.
