Marsha Bryant, Ed.D.




About Our Faculty

Dr. Bryant is an Assistant Professor and Department Chair of Early Childhood Education at Capital Community College in Hartford, Connecticut. She earned her Doctorate of Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Bryant began her career in early childhood education working in public school early education classrooms. The last eight years have been spent working in higher education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, University of New Hampshire, Manchester Community College and Granite State College. In addition to being the recipeint of several academic scholarships, Dr. Bryant was a recipient of the University of New Hampshire Pre-Doctoral Graduate School Fellowship and the State of Connecticut Post-Doctoral Minority Fellowship. Her research interest is in the area of math anxiety. Specifically, her basic research examines math anxiety and the social, cognitive and educational implications.

When not working, Dr. Bryant enjoys spending time with her husband and their son, family and friends. She also enjoys baking, cooking, listening to jazz, playing tennis, and biking.
