About Our Faculty

Karen Langley has worked as the Special Education Administrator for Eckerd Youth Alternatives, Inc. at Camp E-Toh-Anee, an experiential wilderness education program located in Stewartstown, NH, for the past six years. Prior to that, she was a principal at Errol Elementary School in Errol, NH for three years. Karen was special education teacher in Colebrook, NH for ten years before becoming a principal. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from the New Hampshire College School of Human Services, now known as Southern NH University. She earned her Master's degree in Education from Plymouth State University in Educational Leadership. In addition, she holds teacher certification in NH in the areas of general special education, principal and in special education administration.

Special education Law and Foundations of Education are some of the courses she has taught for Granite State College since 2004 through the Littleton campus. She is a Regional Coordinator for the SETT program working with individuals in the North Country who are pursuing their special education certification. Having taught Special Education Law in a traditional classroom, adapting the curriculum and learning activities to the online format has been interesting, challenging and definitely worth doing!

On a personal note, Ms. Langley lives in Colebrook and one well-loved dog. She enjoys visiting her children who now live in Florida and New York City.
