My name is Trish McCarthy and I teach several management courses at Granite State College including MGMT 621 Managing Conflict which I will be teaching online for the second time this summer term 2008. I look forward to teaching this course because how we manage conflict is one of the most critical skills needed to be successful in both our personal and professional lives.

I absolutely love working with people and have been teaching, coaching and training my whole career. I hold a Masters in Education and a Graduate Certificate in Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. Prior to teaching at GSC I was a corporate trainer for a large utility company based in Connecticut. In 2001 I founded McCarthy Consulting Services offering the design and facilitation of Leadership Development; Team building, Managing Conflict and Performance Coaching to both large and small businesses.

In addition to consulting, I have returned to the academic field where I feel I can make a positive impact on people's lives. I live in Southern Vermont with my husband and 2 Siberian huskies. In my spare time I garden, bike, cross-country ski and dog sled. I love Vermont winters!
