Jen Scully teaches
face-to-face and online sessions of Software Tools for GSC.
She holds an M.Ed. in Adult Learning & Development from
Plymouth State University, B.S. in Communication Disorders
from the University of NH, and webmaster certification from
Clark CCI. She has worked in Information Technology for
about 14 years, primarily in training & support, technical
writing, report development, and online content. For the
past 9 years she has worked at UNH.
“The most
rewarding part of working with adult learners is the chance
to facilitate learning moments that allow them to be more
efficient and effective – whether in school, career,
or personal situations,” she says. One of her primary
interests is investigating ways technology can enhance learning
and productivity. Most recently she’s had fun exploring
speech recognition and mind-mapping software, creating how-to
videos with Adobe Captivate, and using audio software to
capture speech and music.
Jen lives on
the NH seacoast with her husband Kevin and their young daughter.
When not at a computer, she likes to sing and play the piano,
knit, and do yoga.
