Catherine Yeaton, M.Ed.

About Our Faculty

Catherine is a member of the National Association of the Education of Young Children. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of NH and a graduate degree from Lesley University with a concentration in integrating the arts into the curriculum. Catherine has taught Early Childhood courses for Granite State College since the mid 1990’s at the Manchester, Portsmouth and Rochester centers. Most recently, she has also participated in the Davis Foundation assessment project with Granite State.

In 1987, Catherine opened Building Block School in Exeter, NH with a passion to provide young children a safe and creative environment to explore and learn using nature and the arts as the basis of the curriculum. The experience and joy of teaching young children on a daily basis, allows her Early Childhood Education classes she teaches at Granite State to be authentic and current.

When she is not teaching at her own school or Granite State, Catherine and her husband love spending time with their family, especially their two little granddaughters! Her other passion is travelling to different countries!
